New Zealand is set to become the first major country to effectively contain & possibly eradicate Covid-19. With the daily new numbers on an obvious downtrend trajectory, with only 5 new cases confirmed today, a future of no new cases seems in sight.
We can only hope that soon, Covid-19 will no longer be a treat to New Zealand & resume normal life, with a lot of new lessons learned.
However, from data we have on Spanish Flu, after the first wave of cases started going down, people began to let their guard down. This culminated in a second wave of infections that ended up causing 6 times more casualties that the first wave. Although currently we are on a downtrend trajectory, the chances of a new wave of infections remains so it is important we do not let our guard down.
Iconic Car Care operates within all 4 Alert Levels of Covid-19, but with major differences between the levels.

Alert Level 4 - Lockdown
Workshop and Reception are closed.
We are “on call”, but only for essential personal & people at high risk.

Prior to us starting on any of our services, you will have to choose one of the following two options:
1. An Interior Cleaning & Disinfection process that is mainly composed of two Ozone Generator Machines running for 1 hour each (2 hours in total), followed by a 2 hours air out of the interior, followed by all interior surfaces being sprayed with Isopropyl Alcohol Disinfectant for a charge of $70 OR
2. A 120 hours (5 full days) stand-down period where the vehicle will locked and inaccessible to anyone within our yard prior to commencing work on it. This will be done at no cost.
Alert Level 3 - Restrict
Workshop is open but Reception is closed. Prior booking is essential, no drive through allowed. Once booking is made, please drive the vehicle inside our yard and drop off the key in the box just outside the reception.
We will come and greet you but will have to keep a 2 meters distance at all times. The vehicle will be inspected but only from a one meter distance away. All services are available, see them here: https://iconiccarcare.co.nz/overview.

2. A 96 hours (4 full days) stand-down period where the vehicle will locked and inaccessible to anyone within our yard prior to commencing work on it, at no cost.
Alert Level 2 - Reduce
Workshop and Reception are open. Reception door will be locked, please knock and we will open it for you. A 1 meter distance must be kept at all times. All items touched will be sanitized after each person.

Workshop and Reception are open. The Reception door will be open. A 1 meter distance must be kept at all times. All items touched will be sanitized after each person.

Prior to us starting on any of our services, you will have to choose one of the following two options:

An Interior Cleaning & Disinfection that is mainly composed of two Ozone Generator Machines running for 30 minutes each (60 minutes in total), followed by a 2 hours air out of the interior, followed by all the interior surfaces beingsprayed with Isopropyl Alcohol Disinfectant for a charge of $40 OR
2. A 72 hours (3 full days) stand-down period where the vehicle will locked and inaccessible to anyone within our yard prior to commencing work on it at no cost.
After our work is completed, we will park the car in its pick up spot, add the Ozone Generators in for a further 1 hour, allow the vehicle to air out for another 2 hours and only after that, the vehicle will be ready for the customer to pick it up. This process will be done at no cost and is necessary to ensure the vehicle has not been contaminated by Iconic Car Care Staff.
We take PPE seriously and the likes of gloves, masks and protection glasses will be worn while working on your vehicle. Internal measures have been taken to minimize the risk of spread between our staff.
